Eric Hendrikx Interviews Steve Caballero for Rolling Stone
Tuesday, January 24th, 2017
Steve and I met during the Bones Brigade Animal Chin reunion and hit it off fantastically with common interests in motorcycles. We spent several days riding with friends up the Pacific Coast on Ducati Scramblers, pitstopping to skate and camp along the way from San Diego to San Luis Obispo. The journey was not only documented in my Rolling Stone interview with Steve, but also in the video embedded in the feature. Getting to brainstorm adventures like this and bring them to fruition has become on the the greatest gifts of my personal journey.

Eric Hendrikx Interviews Tony Hawk for Rolling Stone
Monday, December 5th, 2016
“The Opportunity of a Lifetime” was getting to hang with Tony Hawk and the Bones Brigade as they skated a reincarnation of the Animal Chin ramp; even more so, was interviewing Tony for Rolling Stone. I was blown away that they let me snap photos during the recreation of the famous Four Inverts photo originally shot by Grant Brittain. This feature sat in the number one spot at Rolling Stone and I subsequently received the following message from my editor: “I really have to say, this is one of the best pieces I have been able to publish at Rolling Stone.”

Eric Hendrikx Interviews Andrew Reynolds for Rolling Stone
Wednesday, November 9th, 2016
Andrew Reynolds is a huge inspiration in skateboarding and to me personally. He’s managed a legendary career in skateboarding and focuses on his life as single dad, which I can relate to. When Andrew and I got together at his home in Los Angeles, we discussed the early Warner Ave days of ceaseless partying and abuse, and how he transitioned to being sober and reshaping his entire life around his company Baker Skateboards and being a present parent.
