A couple month’s ago, my son Stone and I went to Woodward West in Tehachapi, California for a few days to skate and shoot some photos with my buddy Mike Vallely. As expected, it was an incredible trip. Stone and I arrived at the Hangar mid-morning. And to our surprise, our good friend Ben Harper was there skateboarding with his kids. Then Mike showed up with skateboarding filmer / photographer Mark Nisbet. And shortly after, flowed in Jim Thiebaud, Nate Alton and Damon Thorley from Deluxe Manufacturing. The trip was pure skating, story telling and laughing. And during one of these laughing outbursts, I was able to capture some really joyful shots of Ben in his element, including this print…
Limited Edition Original Photograph by Eric Hendrikx
Shortly after the trip Ben and I discussed releasing this print and offering proceeds to a cause that is very close to us – The Askate Foundation, benefiting autism through skateboarding. Over the past year or more, Stone and I have participated in a number of events supporting Askate, including volunteering at the clinics & donating art & photography to their 1-In-91 art show. The founders and participants in the Askate organization have enlightened Stone and I tremendously. We have made lifelong friendships. And Stone has the opportunity to use his talent to help others, a place many people never reach in their lives.
In a continuous effort to give back to an organization that has brought my family and friends joy, Ben and I are proud to offer this 20″ x 16″ this original black and white photograph as a limited print, autographed by Ben Harper, signed and numbered. Proceeds from the sale will go to fund The Askate Foundation.
